ALTERNATIVE SYSTEMS AND MODELS IN THE
AGRI-FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN TO RE-THINK A FOOD POLICY FOR TERRITORIES AND COMMUNITIES
10.00 -12.30 | Aula Magna UNITS, Via Alviano 18, Gorizia
The food supply chain must be oriented towards agroecological production processes and sustainable distribution systems capable of ensuring healthy and quality food as a right for everyone. For this it is necessary to enhance the systems of relationship, distribution and supply of food linked to the territories and based on sustainable solidarity, ethical and regenerative supply chains. The role of solidarity buying groups and the experiences of small organized distribution (PDO) are examples to be followed in the territories. Furthermore, in order to build ecosystem proposals at the urban level, in recent years new policies on local food have been launched with some local institutions thanks to the Food Policy Councils.
